Maintenance/ lubrication on older electric

I have an old electra model 207. Is there any kind of maintenance or lubrication I should do? I thought I have read before about lubricating the gears, but do not know how to do this..

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I would be interested too if the 207 is one of the very early Electras. I don't know what model my Electra is (it's put away until winter), but I bought it in the late 70's/early 80's just a couple years after they came out. I've never done a thing to it. I don't recall seeing anything on the gearbox that would suggest maintenance.

Just make sure there is grease on the gears. That's about it, don't have mine anymore,sold it on hsolist,and shipped it to Lithuania!!

I just looked at my Electra and it's a model 205. My Electra has no way of looking at the gears or adding grease without disassembling the gearcase. Even though I'm fairly mechanically inclined, I'm pretty sure that no good could come of taking the gearcase apart. I have never seen any sign of leaking of any kind, so I'm going to assume that all is OK and leave well enough alone.
