Vexilar K-Drill auger- What do you think?

I see that Vexilar is offering a new cordless drill powered auger and claiming lifetime service on the blades. It's on the "info" page of their HSOforum so give it a look. You can buy it with a Milwaukee M18 drill (Vexilar promoted, full Milwaukee list price), or just the auger assembly for a little under $300.

It looks to be a nice idea and well thought out. The flights are interrupted to minimize power consumption, they are a plastic material to save weight, and the blades are a chipper design promoted to easily open old holes. I used a similar setup last year and this looks like it will work.

What do you think???

I think it will work decent for a select group of anglers. For me, I just don't want to limit myself with any sort of battery life. I love exploring and drilling holes, the last thing I want is a limiting factor to my ice fishing style.
