JSK76
use acid wash, can get it from local marine shop. tracker 185 That will work to get it bright after it goes bad but will have a different look then what it looks new.If you want to KEEP the new look use Glisten PC from POR15. Dozer
Is that acid wash the same stuff we use on semi truck rims? Kinda turns the aluminum chaulky, clean but not real shiny?Ive looked into the POR but got sticker shock! I might go that route anyway since Im not really looking forward to polishing it all every month.

JSK76
I've use JV best on a canoe last year, there again it's a product to restore oxidized aluminum not prevent it from getting oxidized. It will give it a white aluminum look rather then keeping the crome like appearance.
mmartin
any body try semichrome? for the amount needed to do a house, I hope you have deep pockets. Other than the price, the stuff is awesome.
Hawg
I've had a tube in my toolbox for years, goes back to my hot rod days. I didn't realize it was that expensive-it sure worked well for my application back then. I've been told, maybe someone on here knows for sure, that 12 gauge steel tread plate is less expensive than aluminum diamond plate. It looks basically the same except black. Maybe using this instead and painting it with POR 15 might be a better application than diamond plate. Anybody ever try it
coombia21
Wizards metal polish, I used in on an aluminum snowmobile tunnel, after putting it on you could just about use it as a mirror. If you put it on a mothers powerball it makes the application much smoother.
randerson
I agree with the Wizards Metal Polish but the diamond tread will eat the power ball for lunch
