Guest
Help!!! I can get great deals on each of these machines, but don't know which one to go with. The dealers feed you the standard line of talk and don't know which one to believe(neither). Polaris owners: Is that protruding radiator as easily damaged as it looks? This machine would not be used for heavy trail riding, but primarily for plowing snow, ice fishing and getting me to my tree stand. Thank you for your input.
Dave
ivpush,Either machine is a winner, really. They both have a great ride and nice power. The Sportsman's radiator is not really protruding out the front. The radiator is tucked back in a bit. Been that way for years. Ely Lake Expert
Ivpush, I see this opening another big discussion. Personally, I have ridden the grizzly and sportman 700 and 400, but not the 600. They each have some nice features, but overall I would have to take the grizzly.Mudders, mudders, mudders; get'em and you will be amazed.Ely lake expert
Dave
ELE, we know you're a Yamaha man... One thing you may notice, and this may be important, to you, is the amount of vibration on the handlebar while idling or crawling speed, The Twin motors (Sportsman 600) seem to produce more vibration than single cylinder models. Ely Lake Expert
Dave, You got me there. I am a yamaha guy. I spoke the truth in my first post though. Until the lower the weight of the sportman I could never get myself to buy one. Even though that is only one of the many factors.Mudders, mudders, mudders; get'em and you will be amazed.
