I think Juan was wondering why someone would leave a place that you are catching a bass every 3-4 minutes. I am curious myself.

I only went out Saturday evening, we had rain and a steady nasty wind Friday and Saturday. I managed only 6 bass fishing the north shore on the weed line. I didn't measure, but the biggest was maybe 17 inches. I should've pitched into the slop thinking about it now with the wind blowing in there for a couple days. I need to get some beefier poles and some heavier line, I am missing some good fishing in the slop.

Change of pace, looking for a big fish, variety is the spice of life. Or maybe they just wore em out and they quit bitin.

Simple, we fished it for almost 5 hours and wanted to try something different.

Don't get me wrong, it was a blast catching smallie after smallie but when they are mostly cookie cutter 2 lb class fish, there comes a point when you want to try something different, we had a largemouth and larger fish itch to scratch. I love catching numbers of fish, but i'll take big fish over huge numbers of medium size fish anyday!

I know beggers can't be choosers, but id take one six pound fish over 80-100 2 lbers always!

I hear ya, it's hard to explain until ya get a chance to experience it. Did not make it last weekend, buddy fished a couple lakes in the area. Tough day for them, couple decent fish, high 4's. not much for numbers. They fished Saturday, miserable weather. I will be up this coming weekend, plan on hitting it hard despite the forecast.

I hear ya KT, that's just a problem I'd love to have. I'd also give my left one for a legit 6 pounder.
