Grouse help near Vermillion?

I am heading up to lake Vermillion for a fishing/grouse hunting trip Oct 10-13. I have never hunted the area and was wondering if there are any decent spots anyone would be willing to share within a half hour of Tower. Please send me a PM with any information! Again not looking for a secret spot, more worried about ending up a place I'm not supposed to be!

While were asking...if anyone wants to set me up on a date with their girlfriend, let me know. I am just busting chops....I dont hunt vermillion, but get a plat book, look for tax forfeit land, and try to find popple.

Lots of public and unposted land up there. Just look at the state and federal forests.

Drive the echo trail and walk off the spurs. Check out a few boat landings and better yet walk some boundary waters portages and hiking trails. Good luck.

I will be staying just outside Tower. Maps I look at show a lot of state and county land a few miles to the east, but the do not show roads to get to it? Any names of roads between Tower and Soudan that will lead to hunting areas?
