Bear Scent Balls

Any one else having issues with these? I had them out with hardly any rain and the new biodegradeable bags were coming apart and the balls were the size of baseballs. Just seeing if my buddy got a bad batch or if this is a consistant issue. They had on the invoice that they average 3 months.

Mine also fell out of the bag after about a month. It is possible a critter tore it out of it, but I think rain finally got to it and it fell out. It worked great to attract bears to my bait site in my opinion and I will use it again next year. I agree that they are difficult to get out of the bucket, but the bucket system sure kept it from smelling up anything. I basically beat it out of the bucket and hung it up. I used bacon ball this year. I might try a different type next year just for the heck of it.

I think what happens a lot is when one cuts open the bucket the bag gets torn an then it quickly seprates in the puncture or tear with purpose of being biodegradable an the ball just falls out. these things are pure honey an scent. if you actually take one a let it sit in the sun in a shallow pan out of the bag you can see that it melts an has the consistency an texture of honey
