It'll work. I'd like more in a perfect world but in no case would I go buy something else if that's what had. I have 9000 btu for homemade 8x10 and its plenty warm for most days...unless those flags are really popping.

plenty, get some fans if you want. I have 15000 in my 6.5x16 and have never needed top half of btus.

I guess, it is all about the insulation in the house and the ambient temperature that will make the difference.

Sounds iffy. I just got a 14K BTU Willams for my 6 1/2x12'

I heard horror stories of Red being -30 somedays. I dont want to shy on the heat factor.

I have a 7X17 I have a 20,000 Btu. Have been on Red with the wind and it keep us worm. I would not go smaller.
