Clam x1 thermal

The Fish Trap X1 is built a completely different sled and pole system. The sled for the X1 is much thicker than the sled for the Pro (or Legend Thermal) and it is also designed to be pulled behind a machine for long distances and at fast speeds. The poles are also larger (diameter) than the Pro/Legend Thermal. So with the X-series you are getting the most durable line-up of shelters...

The X1 also has a 900 denier tent, versus 600 denier for the Legend Thermal... so the X1 is a more durable shelter. The Legend Thermal is very durable as well, but if you're an angler who likes to fish big water (ice) and fly across the ice at high speeds pulling your shelter then the X1 is tough to be for a one-person shelter...

The Legend Thermal basically replaces the Jason Mitchell Pro but with a new (old) seat system and retails for the same price, $399.

The X1 Thermal looks to be a direct competitor to the Otter ProXT Cottage which also retails $599. It's built with ruggedness and durability in mind whereas Clam 1 man houses are traditionally geared towards lightness and portability. Just another 1-man option added by Clam.

I'm not sure why people are surprised at these prices ??
