surewood
Been scouting/ bow hunting ND the last couple of days. Been tough in the heat. Even tougher trying to find good public ground. Hoping on couple good spots for the pre rut when we come back in October. Anyone have any luck on ND public land?
Scoot
ND has some really great bowhunting opportunities on state land. Shoot me a PM and let me know where you're looking and I'll do my best to help you out.
harvey lee
You could hunt the Sheyenne National Grasslands. I hunt a private ranch in this area and it is typically pretty good archery hunting that abuts the Grasslands. The last few years the deer numbers have rebounded, but slowly after approx 3 very hard winters.Year after year, the Grasslands is a pretty good area to hunt. many areas with heavy woods, river bottoms and wide open spaces. With the temps warm and the lack of rain, I would hunt close to any fresh water source. This area is not hunted that hard during archery season. But, you have to watch what area's are open to vechile traffic as they have closed some areas to all vechiles including 4 wheelers.
