Monti night fishing

Is at possible to catch cats at night around the monti area off shore?

Sure is spent many nights out fishing for cats when i lived in buffalo, the park all the way down past the hospital has some good spots to try

Like mrklean said Ellison park by the hospital is one option and another is montissippi park by the nuke plant. Montissippi does get patroled by the county deputies and they might try to say you can't be in there after sunset but the area by the access is open until midnight. I emailed the head of the parks department to find out what kind of a agreement the county had with the state in regards to this access. That is how I found out the access at montissippi is open until midnight. From midnight to 6 am it is technically closed. As long as you stay by the access and pier and you are only fishing there shouldn't be any issues. Don't start any small fires on shore, some people were doing that and that is part of the reason they were giving people a hard about being in the park after hours.

How has the cat action been? I've only been smallie fishing the past few weeks

I went out Monday night at Montissippi and walked half way across the river with the chest waders. the water is way to hot right now. personally I have put all fishing on hold until things cool down. if you are set on going I would consider making the drive down to pool 2 and beyond since there is deeper water there with the navigation channel.

West Bridge Park use to be pretty good fishing several years ago until somebody got he bright idea to remove the trees along the bank that were hanging in the water.
