Making an ice shack

Morgs

Recommended Posts

I've got an old pop up camper that I'm looking to make into an ice shack, and I'm looking for some thoughts.

Has anyone done this recently?

What tips do you have?

Any info\pointers would be appreciated.

Pretty simple but be prepared for some problems if u don't put a winch system on it. The holes will need a 5 gallon bucket to prevent the wind from coming through and watch the tires, they will freeze in if you keep it on the lake overnight and don't jack it up

I've got a house built from a popup. I didn't build it, bought it. It's got the catch cover holes and tubes and they work great. It had the built in stabilizer jacks, but they are quite rusty. So I use a set of free standing stabilizer stands to keep it steady. Normally don't even unhook it from the truck as I don't leave it on the lake. That's what I like most about it, easy to set up and bring home so it's safe and I can leave my gear in it that way.
