Sleeping Indian Designs Wool

Recommended Posts

Is anyone familiar with this brand? I picked up a wool hunting shirt of theirs for $12 at an estate sale (brand new, still had the tag on it). I was surprised to see how expensive this stuff is! I love wool clothing personally, but am just curious if anyone has any experience with this brand.

Swear by it. I have a set for archery hunting and coyote hunting before the snow falls that is great stuff. I bought it in 1999 and it outlasted my Weatherby wool suit and Browning set. The only thing I like better is my Filson cruiser jacket for trapping, I hope to be buried in it.

Sad thing is Sleeping Indian Wool has gone out of business.

I have a Filson Double Mackinaw Cruiser. I love it for trapping. Lots of well designed pockets and back pouch. It sheds rain and snow off branches and holds up well.

It was a bit stiff when I got it but after the first season it broke in perfectly.

I agree with Johnny about Sleeping Indian wool. King of the Mountain is great too. Top notch stuff, but you'll pay for it. They can be a little warm in warmer temps but are deluxe for winter hunting. Best wool pants hands down. Those are the only two kinds that I have had any luck with when it comes to durability. I wear them from Dec to Mar.

I am looking to buy Sleeping Indian wool camo clothing in both brown and grey.

Specifically I am looking for Mountain Hunter Extreme Parka in both Brown and Grey Camo XL.

Also Outfitter jacket in Brown Camo XL.

Finally, other Sleeping Indian accessories in both Brown and Grey Camo.

Thank you.
