Matt Johnson
Ice Auger Conversion Kit Description: Clam’s Ice Auger Conversion Kit allows an angler to use an 18-volt cordless drill as the “power” to drill your holes. Extremely lightweight & portable, there has been nothing like it on the market to date. Providing enough power to drill through over 700 inches of ice on a fully charged battery, testing has been done on up to 24 inches of ice using a 6-inch auger bit. Clam prides itself on mobility and this will set the bar for how a mobile ice auger performs! Conversion kit and auger bit sold separately. Watch the Ice Auger Conversion Kit VIDEO - Enjoy! JSK76
Now that's pretty darn cool! Does it come with the auger bit or do you supply your own? Any idea on cost?

mattpaumen
Sure beats using a hand auger! Not that this can't be used all winter long, but I see this being very nice option for early ice especially. I'm not getting any younger, so anything to make my life easier is money well spent! Matt Johnson
Now that's pretty darn cool! Does it come with the auger bit or do you supply your own? Any idea on cost? You can buy it several ways... you can buy the combo which comes with both the Drill Plate and 6" Hand Auger, or you can by either of those items separately. Remember though, you will have to provide your own cordless drill and it's recommended that you use a 18-volt drill...As far as pricing goes, here is a link to more info there... JSK76
Can it be use with an 8" bit? Obviously it would be slower and not as many holes on a charge.
Thunderfoot
Extremely lightweight & portable, there has been nothing like it on the market to date. Nothing like it to date? I found the K-Drill last year on "ice fishing today . com" and it is amazing how great it works. I will certainly be checking out Clams version but it s FAR from the first one available... Matt Johnson
Nothing like it to date? I found the K-Drill last year on "ice fishing today . com" and it is amazing how great it works. I will certainly be checking out Clams version but it s FAR from the first one available... I believe they are referencing the placement of the drill and how the systems operates. The auger bit chucks-up to this system like a normal auger, it doesn't attach directly to the drill itself (as-if it is was a drill bit) like other systems out there. I believe that is the reference as to the comment "there has been nothing like it on the market to date." You also hold this system just like you would an actual auger, handles and lever, and all...I have used the K-Drill, in fact I used it a lot last year and I like that auger as well. Opens old holes extremely well and is also very lightweight...
