LLWS Midwest finals

Coon Rapid's-Andover just beat Rapid City, SD in the Midwest semi final game 4-0.

They will now play Friday against Urbandale, Iowa for the Midwest Region final to see who goes to Williamsport for the LLWS.

Nick Dainty threw a 1 hitter with I believe 10 K's for a shut out. The one hit was a infield hit to the ss with 1 out in the last inning. It was to the SS left and deep in the hole but he gathered it up, threw to 1st and a close play for sure but safe, so Nick lost his no hitter but he still got the shut out and most importantly, the win for Coon Rapids-Andover.

Nick Dainty was more than impressive.

Who needs pro ball when these kids play they hearts out. A-Rod could learn from these kids.

Congrats and good luck to Coon Rapids/Andover in the Midwest championship game Friday.

Game will be played in Indy, Ind.

Mn loses to Iowa today for a trip to Williamsport for the LLWS.

Tied going into the last inning.

1 error and the first batter to first, then a walked batter and another dribbler hit and the bases are loaded with no outs.

Coach changes pitcher and on the 1st pitch, wild and Iowa scores.

Congrats to the Coon Rapids-Andover team for a great season, too bad they fell 1 game short of the LLWS.

Announcer said during the game, MN had outscored thier opponents in the previous 5 games 71-10. Today they hit a great pitcher for Iowa and got shut down.

Today japan and Mexico play for the International Championship and Chula Vista Ca. vs Conn. for the US title.

This is a rematch for both as Mexico and Conn both lost to the same teams and had to come through the losers brackett.

Should be 2 great games and both will be on ESPN. Not sure of the times yet.
