harvey lee
Welcome to HSO.I have those on my boat and utility trailers. Even thought I have them, I still repack my bearings every season and every other year I replace the bearings and races.I would rather spend the few extra dollars doing a repacking and or replacement than having any issues on the road. One can use the bearing buddies but that does not mean one should not repack and or replace every season if needed. There is a great tutorial on the how too's of doing this in one of the forums, just don't remember where. It is really a pretty easy job and not many needed tools. Some use a bearing packers to put new grease in the bearings but I still do it old school and repack them with my hand. There are a number of people who believe that since they have the bearing buddies on, they do not have to do thier annual maintaince as they have them on.Are they really needed on anything if you do annual checks, no. My trailers came with them on so I have left them on but I would not purchase a set if I had to purchase them. Thats just what I do.
Hawg
Take a look at the LiquaLube System. You can see if you have problems immediatly. Easy to install also.
