Barb did the 11 Miles today in 90 degree weather.

Next leg is Sparta to LaCrosse!!!

This is the entrance to the Sparta tunnel. There is so much moisture and cool air inside it whooshes out and you can feel it before you can even see the tunnel itself. When this was used in the 1800's, doors had to be closed when trains were not traveling through it in the winter so it would not freeze inside.

The Sparta tunnel is 3/4 mile long, a 20 minute walk through complete darkness, so long you can't even see the end when you first go in.

11 miles is an easy distance in most any weather. Good for her! I'd wager it won't be too long and you'll be doing the same thing LHarris!
