Tubitz
I am having unusual wear on the outside of my trailer tires and was told by many tire dealers that I have a bent axle on my trailer. I was wondering if anyone has had an axle straightened or may have any other solutions? I am running a 04' Ranger 185VS with a single axle Ranger trailer. delmuts
My suggestion is to talk to Ranger and order a new one. Not a cheap route, but you'll know things are good when done. I had to get one a few years ago. It was dropped shipped to me. I took it to a auto shop where they switched axles No problems since. CaptainMusky
Tubitz, that is the exact same wear I have on my tires. I called a local powersports shop at the suggestion of a buddy and he said the trailer is "out of alignment". My buddy had his trailer aligned by them a few years ago because he was having some tire wear issues and no issues since having it done. They actually put it in a frame rack just like for cars and laser everything to make sure its aligned perfectly from what I am told. The procedure costs from $85 to $115 depending on size of the axle (bigger the axle, higher the price).I am going to have mine done probably next week.BeeLine Sports in St Joseph is the place I am talking about, but I am sure there are places closer to you that could do it as well.
