Tim Moore
I went out to Jeffrey's Ledge with a couple of buddies and fished for cod, haddock, and pollock. We were on fish immediately and almost all day. We ended up with a limit of cod for three of us and only 3 keeper haddock out of around 25 caught. We also caught some huge pollock. The result was 43 pounds of fillets between three of us. I was using my new Release SG reel on a Shimano Trevala rod. Man did it out fish the more conventional rods. With a 6.2:1 retrieve there was no problem getting the fish up and the jig back down. It was a rough ride out but once the tide turned the seas laid down flat. It was a blast! I made a video with some of the GoPro footage that we got. I think I have another trip coming up this Wednesday.
