Hawg
Has anyone ever used POR 15 over a primered frame? They say it's not ideal at the manufacturer and they should know I guess but sometimes it a cover their butt situation also. Anybody done it? I have a $120 worth of paint and a primered frame on the way.
JSK76
I have been using por15 for about 8 years now and one thing I noticed is it really sticks good to rust and not as good to anything else. It seems to have a hard time sticking to clean sandblasted metal too. That's why people will sandblast a frame and let it sit for a few days to get a flash rust on it so the por15 sticks better. I personally think it would be a wast to put it over the primer on your frame but if you do make sure to scuff the primer first and remember por15 isn't UV stable so it will need to be painted over or the area that gets sunlight will brake down with time and get chock looking. If it was me I would scuff the primer that's already on the frame and buy a kit of Raptor Liner spray on box liner. Hawg
I'm thinking box liner is my choice at this point too.
