Question

I hace a lowrance hds8 how do I get down image with only the chart plotter, so I have down image and chart plotter combo? Been looking through the manual but not finding or over looking where it says how to do it. I have the lss2 also incase that matter.

I'll try it tonight but I don't know that it's possible to do a split screen down imaging and chart without the side imaging.

I've never tried because in that scenario I would prefer a chart and regular sonar because regular sonar covers more of the bottom than DI.

main screen, Go to the main chart screen then + structure. You'll have split screen of structure on right and chart on left. Press page button until you have control of structure side. Press menu for options. You'll see one option that has structure scan right and left. Click on that tab and go to bottom...you can also choose just right, just left, or right and left...

You can go to main screen, go to main structure then + Chart as well and follow above steps.

I'm doing this my memory so I may be off on verbage or something...

Clown, correct me if I wrong but I think that shows SI. In that setup is there a way to change the SI image to DI?

I forgot to look last night but from what I can remember, the only DI option is with SI on the screen at the same time, or DI overlaid the regular sonar.

Do what Clown says - you can select left SI, Right SI, L&R SI or Down only. That will give you Chart on one side and DI on the other.

Also, you can quickly change between DI and SI with the far right hot key as long as the SS window is selected.
