Non-refrigerated bait?

I'm going to be doing a rafting trip through desolation canyon on the green river in utah starting next weekend (7 days on the water). I've heard that there isn't much for fishing.. except channel catfish!

Water supposedly is pretty low flow, there may be some opportunities to fish from camp each evening.

The problem: What to bring to use for bait?

Normally I'd think just some nightcrawlers would be ideal, but when considering regular temperatures in the triple digits, I'm thinking rather than dealing with keeping crawlers cool in our food coolers (and potentially screwing with our cooler management, I might want to think about other options.

Anyone have suggestions for bait that doesn't need to be refrigerated and can withstand high desert temperatures?

Manufactured baits...euphemism for stinkbait. You can get it in tubes or make your own and load it to tubes. Or get packaged sleeves of pre-made balls like powerbait. I wouldn't get anything that comes in a tub unless you have a waterproof, nearly indestructible type of tote. If you spill even a little bit, or it leaks in that kind of heat...your trip will be miserable. Do you have some dipworms? Or other stink bait paraphernalia?
