Cork Handle

Looking for some advice, a few years ago I bought a PFlueger President Rod / Reel combo.

This past summer, while my boat was sitting in a slip on Lake of the Woods, I had a critter visit and decided to chew on just about everything that wasn't attached to the boat, I'm thinking it was either a Otter or a Coon....... anyway, whatever it was it chewed on the cork for the PFlueger rod and messed it up.

Anything a person can do to fix it?

Thanks for any advice.

any good rod builder can re do the handle with new cork. you will most likely need a new reel seat unless the current one can be saved and used again. If you were closer I would look at it and do it for you other wise check out this video that A.W. Wolfram did about replacing a cork handle. the hardest part is getting the old stuff off with out damaging the blank.
