How do you deal with Poison Ivy?

I was in a poison ivy patch and had my arms rubbing in it for a few minutes before i realized it. I immediately washed with the mixed gas / oil for the chain saw. I then went in and washed the gas off with soap and water. Never got a bit of the poison ivy bumps. I usually get it a couple of times a year from the dogs etc. I do like the Technu stuff too.

Agrees, the first thing I do when come in from shroom hunting or in the woods, is get the dish wash liquid and jump in the shower. Wash with it head to toe and for about 5 minutes. I figure if poison ivey is oil, why not use the oil and grease buster, dish soap. Then I go out and wash boots or shoes thoroughly with it to. If you don't the next time you lace up your boots, you just put it on your hands(oil) then ich face, take a leak, you know the deal. Give dish soap a try.
