MN opener reports

How did the muskies treat everyone? We hit a metro lake early this morning since I had to be back for a grad party by noon. Fished from 4-11:30 am. found water temps right around 60 but rose pretty quick as the morning went on. Lots of fish up shallow sunning themselves in the sand and it was a challenge finding weeds, but when we did they definitely held fish. I lost 2 small fish, one was from a net man error and the other fish just came unpinned after a couple seconds. Later in the morning I stuck a nice 41.5". She was beat up pretty good but she took off pretty quick. All in all it was a good outing and felt dang good to be back out throwin baits after this long winter/spring

Nice start to the season. We had a handful of fish up between morning and afternoon, nothing big or aggressive. Trolled open water for about 4 hours mid-day but most of the bait was really deep. Nice to get out!
