Metro Hunting spots

any lakes, our areas that you can hunt in the metro. i know of a few in the lino lakes area. But would like to know if there is other places. Thanks for any info.

I think you can still hunt coon lake.I haven't been there in a while thou.Try the chisago area lakes.

Any one know if Tammerac Lake over by Linwood is still open to hunting?
Used to hunt there a few years back, drove down some snowmobile trail to get there .

There are quite a few spots around, but you won't be alone. Hunt during the week or later in the year and you should be ok. Get a public land map from Walmart, and check out the recreation compass on the dnr's HSOforum.

Benny, Tamarac is my old stomping grounds. I grew up there.

You can hunt it. You just have to keep away from houses. Good hunting too.

Thanks boiler guy, I want to take my daughter out some where on Sunday, has to be with in an hour drive of Coon Rapids, so I thought a jaunt over there would work.

100% sure you can hunt peltier. Not sure exactly where you can hunt on it, prolly behind the island but yeah you can hunt on it
