The gun was given to me, had anyone ever shoot those gun? I m a semi auto guy and don't have any pump gun before till now. I was not sure if I m going to keep it or get rid of it.

I've got and really like it. i did a vinyl camo wrap on it and use it for ducks, grouse, pheasant, and deer. It's basically a model 500 but with a different safety and synthetic stock and forearm.

Mossberg Maverick is the only hunting shotgun I use.

I've hunted a lot of upland, waterfowl, turkey and even have a cantilever slug barrel and scope. The beauty of the Maverick is that it is light weight, reliable and easy to maintain in the field. There is nothing worse than constantly worrying about scratching your gun in the woods or rectifying semi-auto ejection issues in the duck blind.

There's my bias opinion!
