Little Vermillion Lake, Ontario

Recommended Posts

I'm heading up to Sportsmans Lodge on Little Vermillion Lake in Ontario (It's just North of Red Lake, Ontario). This will be my first time to Canada. We will be targeting mostly Pike, and a little bit of walleyes as well. Has anybody ever fished this lake? If so, do you have any pointers that you would be willing to share. Also, there is an 80 lb. per person weight limit, and we will be bringing our own food. Does anyone have any suggestions on things that are out of the ordinary that I want to be sure to bring, and likewise things that I should probably leave at home?

You should be fine with 80lbs per guy...as far as food-eat fish!!! I will normally bring up some burger and brats, but will have a lot of fish fries. Just remember a case of beer or soda weighs about 20lbs. You will most likely need to boil your water to be on the safe side...so bring up a plastic collapsable container to store your water. Good luck & good fishing!!!
