Tanaka Power Head Break-in

ClownColor

Question

I was lucky enough to have found a great deal on a brand new Tanaka power head (with 8" nils auger). After horrible luck with my past two augers, I'm hoping this one works out.

So, to do it right and after many reviews, I understand a break-in is required to get this motor humm'in.

After ready the manual I could not find anything. I tried emailing tanaka but it doesn't work.

Anyone have ACTUAL details on how to do this? I'm looking to break it in with amsoil. What ratio do I use? How about after break-in? Can I use 92 non-oxy fuel?

Anyone know how I can contact Tanaka through email (I love documentation)?

Thanks,

CC

50:1 for the first gallon. Fill tank, DO NOT attach auger, start and let run reving every 15-20 minutes nwhile cycleing the choke on and off. Do this for 1 full tank of gas, after you use up the first gallon you can mix up to 100:1 with Amsoil Saber Pro
