Which way would you prefer fishing and why?

I usually fish upstream. I like tossing dries or terrestrials. The fish are pointing upstream, though they look up not forward so I don't know if there is much benefit to fishing upstream. This stream is bank fish able but when wading I am less likely to spook fish with silt washing down.

upstream and later in the season across and down through runs i've cast upstream too. whether i'm drifting a nymph, dry/terrestrial or stripping a bugger, it's all done casting upstream.

Downstream with a wollybugger. Can work it in difficult spots and let it hang it front of likely areas.

Upstream, especially if I need to be in the stream, can't stand kicking up sediment. If I can stay dry I don't mind fishing down, easier to work baits into depths and undercuts

upstream 98 percent of the time for me too.
