mrpike1973 Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 hi 77 25 hp evinrude old prop getting fixed 9 1/4 x 11 original got a new after market one 9 x 10 was told the old one is obsolete. what difference will this make i know nothing about props was told hole shot would be a little faster and i may need to back down throttle slightly at wide open sound right i see the old prop super cedes to the 9 x 10 thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
boatfixer Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 It's likely the hole shot will be a little better. It's hard to say if you'll over rev it at WOT without knowing the actual Rpms. marine_man Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 Sometimes the groove that the starter gear moves along gets gunked up and prevents the starter from engaging the flywheel.. take some WD40 and clean it out good... it might work... but cheaper than new parts!marine_man Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
