hardwaterfishing
I plan on doing some night time fishing. In the book it says, "All non-motorized watercraft, whetherunderway or at anchor, must at least carry awhite lantern or flashlight. This light shouldbe strong enough so that other boats aroundthe horizon can see it at least two milesaway. The light must be displayed in sufficient time to avoid a collision with another" So would my cap light pass? I was kind of surprised when I read this. I figured I would need a light on at all times. Stick in Mud
For what it's worth, I use a reasonably powerful headlamp....I don't have much to worry about, though, because most of my paddling is on unnavigable rivers or "wilderness" lakes that don't have powerboats on them. tolle141
I tHink the book also requires that it's visible to 200-some degrees. Just pick up one of those $20 pole lights at Walmart, cabelas, or REI
