Net?

I mainly bass fish out of my kayak. This year, I plan on fishing some walleyes. What does everyone use for a landing net if one at all?

I use a cheap trout landing net when I do use a net. I mostly bring the fish boatside and release them in the water. It seems less stressful on the fish if I don't take them out of the water. I usually hold onto them until they're ready to go.

Take a look at those Frabil folding nets. I've had mine for about 4 years, and really do like it. Takes up very little space.

I don't use a net for walleyes; they're not exactly known as being acrobatic fighters, and by the time they get boatside, they're usually pretty docile.

The only time I really want a net is for pike...those buggers can cause some misery in a hurry if you get one flopping around.

Check out the fish grip. Way better and smaller too. Cabelas sells them. Get the plastic model, not the metal ones.
