Sent the DNR an email about it earlier today... hopefully they go down there and shock his arse and pick him out of there... It was the only one I saw... Hopefully it is the only one... Thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when from about 100' ahead of me i could see this orange mass swimming around... Wish I could've caught him... Would've made a good addition to the species comp

I hear that live goldfish make pretty good live bait in states that allow it. Maybe a big 'ski will have dinner sooner or later.

they got a little tired reading about tiger trout every other month, so they introduced Koi to the streams. Their hopes are that they breed with the aggressive brown trout and make a new subspecies "krout".

That one in your pic looks more like a common goldfish. Goldfish are in all sorts of ponds and lakes. Especially neighborhood storm water retention ponds. Usually solid orange with big fan tails. Weird to see one in a stream. But they can live anywhere, all it takes is some nitwit to put it there. I swear they are more hardy than bullheads. They are usually the last species to winterkill, believe it or not.

Heres a pic of an actual Koi I caught from the Little Cannon River back in 2006. The fish ate a nightcrawler chunk off the bottom intended for those stocker rainbows in there. What a suprise catch this was...
