riverwader
Anyone stay at a resort and rent a cabin or hotel and head out trail riding? Where are some of your favorite areas or resorts. I want to get up to Wildhurst in Finland, but otherwise it is all camping type things.
MNCPRGUY
Love Wildhurst and the trails up there. If you don't want to camp, the Super 8 in Silver Bay is nice and has direct access to the trails. We have also found some nice trails in the Paul Bunyan area but it was all tent camping for us.
aczr2k
Check out the Stomping Grounds by Akeley. Camp and ride.
Graybuck
Stay in Isle at McQouid's Inn, from the lot you can ride the South Soo Line, Red Top, and Solana Loop trails. The Inn is very ATV frindly. Public water access right next door to go out and fish Mille Lacs Lake.
MNCPRGUY
+1 for Stomping Grounds. The campground is nothing special but the proximity to good riding is excellent!
mnmofro
Anyone know of good area to hit up near Grand Rapids? aczr2k
If you go south of Grand Rapids about 9 miles you can get on the new trail that runs south towards hwy 200, aways south of 200 you can go east towards Jacoboson, or west towards Hill City. From Hill City you can take the new trail down to Swatara and hit the Soo Line. If you pick your trails right you can link up to the trail system that heads to Emily/Outing.
