Just thought I would share this story. Me and the fiance were out fishing on a lake kinda by alexandria. She had just brought up a sunny we were slamming bull gills. Anyways right after she brings the fish in and was unhooking it the fl-8 she has started shaking and got pulled in the hole. I said [PoorWordUsage] are you wrapped around the ducer she says nope we look down the hole and a huge pike all I could see was its back had the ducer it swam away right about then but the lake I was fishing has monster pike in it. She ended up hooking it 3 times bringing in sunnies the thing would slam it but got off every time we were fishing in 10 ft of water and sight fishing as the water is crystal clear and it was pretty awesome watching that pig swim around. She thought it was the sweetest thing ever. She ended up catching alot of gills biggest being a 10.5 monster bluegill its was a blast no big crappies landed but lost some in the holes.

I had that happen back in January up on Lake of the Woods. 30+ feet of water in the middle of the afternoon. Half asleep when the H-Bird transducer float went down and shot back up the hole, the display want blank. I looked over at my cousin and was about to ask what the carp he was doing. Looked down the 26" of ice and the head of the pike was down my hole, and the tail was down the next hole over. We tried catching him but he swam away... half hour later it did it again, dropped a big spoon down and hooked him!! A healthy 34" pike.

After the first encounter we talked about how that was a once in a lifetime occurrence, and then he hit again a half hour later.
