I fished a southern New Hampshire lake with four of my buddies. I had a blast. Tons of laughs and some fish too. We were after panfish (crappie and white perch). We got started just after the sun came up. We were fishing 24' of water and all jigging. We picked away at the fish but they seemed a bit finicky today. My hot lures were a 4.5mm pink tungsten jig and a blue and white hali with a 2" dropper rig, all tipped with white spikes. At one point the fish on my Vexilar scattered and two seconds later a nice largemouth rocketed in and grabbed my hali. The action eventually slowed and I made a move looking for big bluegill. Instead I found a school of nice eater sized white perch. It was a very relaxed day which is fine by me, that's a big reason why I ice fish.

Some white perch for supper.

Was fun yesterday Tim. We picked a few more after you left but most were smaller yellows. I didn't get up this am to chase them. I needed to make up some lost sleep time from the night before (didn't sleep well Friday for some reason). I may head over for a last shot there this afternoon.

As you said lots of fun and plenty to talk about.
