Tim Moore
Today was a good day. I fished on Great Pond. I arrived on the ice at 6:30am and it was raining. The forecast was for the rain to turn to snow at 6am. I figured it would change over around 7am but it never did. I brought my Scout TC with me so at least I was able to get out of the rain. I walked out to the usual spot and drilled six holes to get me started. There were fish in every hole so I picked the one with the most red lines on the Vexilar and began pounding away at the fish. It was like that until I decided to quit at 10:30am. Today I stuck with the ultra light Dave Genz series True Blue rods with 4.5mm tungsten jigs tipped with withe spikes. I moved around a bit to see what it looked like and when I got outside the 24' depth there were no fish. As long as I stayed in around 24' of water I caught fish consistently. At times there were huge schools of crappie under me. It was a great morning. I was able to get some video for my next diary too. I'll post that when it finishes uploading.
