ducks & color

I recently bought some decoys that most of the paint had come off of. I got them at a auction for cheap. I'm debateing if I should repaint them and the question is, Do ducks see color? or are they color blind?

At the risk of sounding fecetious, how do you think Female Ducks identify mature Males?

Chells, I always thought it was by the leggs, the orange left and right indicate drakes, the 3rd indicate mature drakes.

yes, paint them. they know color patterns and shape. so if they are mallard decoys, don't paint them to look like canvas backs.
