PAL courses

This will be my first year duck hunting on the Ontario side of Lake of the Woods and have heard it's much easier to get thru the border after taking this course (?).

Has anyone went through the border lately by just declaring a shotgun? Was it too bad?

The PAL is not going to get you any brownie points...it all depends if the canadians like you at first sight....oh ps dont bring in any potatoes..they are confiscating those.

It shouldn't be a big deal at all....as long as you have a clean record!! Fill out the paperwork and pay the $50Cdn...no big deal.

I would recommend stopping at the US side on your way up and having the customs guy take down the info on your gun. He will give you a "receipt". Makes coming back into the US a little easier.
