Mark Christianson
This year Youth waterfowl day is Sept 20th.Early goose season is open until Sept 22nd where we hunt. The Youth Waterfowl Day regulations state:"....15 years and younger, when accompanied by a nonhunting adult."Well, I guess that means adults cannot hunt geese if kids they have with them are hunting the Youth day?Not a big deal to me, but an area sure to create some confusion I would think. Benny
You are correct, the adult can not hunt. This was set up this way so as to give the youth full attention and not have a much better shot adult shoot all the birds. That way the youth gets learn how to leed, shoot, and retreive his/her own birds.Benny
Mark Christianson
I was talking about hunting geese for myself. Not ducks. The StarTribune clarified it this morning.Youth waterfowl day, the Dads cannot hunt geese at the same time.
