Any Benneli fans?

I'm interested in a Benneli M1 90 shotgun. Anyone ever have a problem with jamming,cleaning, etc.? I like the feel, and its pretty lightweight. Its used and priced at $729, cant be more than 1 or 2 years old, very clean, no scratches. Is this overpriced or reasonable. Thanx for any replys

Thats very reasonable.
I have one, but have only shot a few boxes of target loads so far, so maybe to soon to tell if it has any problems with jamming, but as long as I keep it clean i doubt it will. Aren't they an awesome feeling gun?

I'm on my 3rd season shooting a model 90 and I've never, I repeat, never had a jam. I had one round not fully load on a very cold day. I've shot trap loads to 3" magnums and everything cycles. On the cleaning end, I've never had a gun that was easier to clean. The only caution I'll pass along is the need to take off the recoil pad, take off the nut you'll see (you need a deep 11mm socket) and oil up the shaft and nut where a recoil reducer can be mounted. If you're out in the rain, you might collect a little water in there. You don't need to do this very often though. I've done it once in 3 years.

Great gun, easy to clean. Now I actually clean my gun on a regular bases as it is easy. Buy it!

A couple additional thoughts for the gentleman considering a Super 90... I have shot one since '98, and have had zero problems. You will find the M1 is often copied, but never duplicated. The reliability of the gun, and the way it cycles shells is unsurpassed. As it's been stated, they are so incredibly easy to clean, you don't have an excuse not to clean it. My only advice would be to cosider a new one. For about $100 more you can own a new one out of the box.

A true Beneli tail from duck opener '02: My buddy and I were having a great ND morning in the duck boat. At one point we had multiple birds down and both of our retrievers were out doing their thing.

After some back and forth and a lot of retrieving, we pulled the dogs back into the boat. It was time to reload and get ready for the next barrage. But there was one problem, I couldn't find my M1!!

We soon concluded that it had fallen out of the boat. I was wearing chest waders, so I slithered into the waist-deep water to feel around in the mud with my feet. It didn't take long to locate the gun. As I pulled it from the water, swampy mud was literally running out of the action.

I was still standing in the water when my partner spotted a small flock working our direction. I quickly made sure the barrel was clear and proceeded to drop a couple shells into the M1. Bang bang!!! The gun still fired perfectly ender extreme conditions!!!
