lx9 update HELP

Just got my new lx9 home. Played with it for a little while, then decided to update to the new firmware. I did the update, now all I have is a blank screen. anyone know what could be going on? Whish they had tec support on weekends!

When you turn it on do you get the lx-9 logo then black or just black with the blue key pad lighting up?

On my lx-9 it was working fine then the next day the screen was black with the key pad lighting up. I had to send it in for a replacement. If you just bought it I would return it for a different one. I'm sure it probably something to do with the upgrade though.

You could try a hard rest, disconnect one battery wire, hold the power button down and while holding the power, plug the batter wire back on the battery. After that you could try the update over again if it doesn't work. 100% sure you got the sd card back in right and all the way in?

Did the update then started up normally, until it shut down to reboot. all that came back was the black screen like you stated with keys lit up.

Thanks, that is what I would like to do, however I am 2 hrs from anywhere. Guess Ill have to wait till monday.

Just an Update: called monday am decided i didnt want to wait for shipping, so i drove it in. Got it fixed up while i waited. Fishing tommorrow.
