Trout Through the ice in MN?

Hi Guys,

A friend and I are going to try trout fishing through the ice this weekend and had a few questions for the experts. We are going to try a lake or two that have Rainbows and Splake.

-Are Northland Buckshot Rattler or Northland Whistler spoons legal?

-Can you use dead fatheads or must we purchase freeze dried bait?

-Are Euro larva legal to use as well?

Thanks!

Pretty much every lure is legal, but only 1 line is allowed in the winter. Most stream trout lakes are designated trout lakes, so yeah, live minnows are prohibited. Euros are legal, and if you have salmon eggs, those could be worth a shot too. A trout stamp is required also.
