Cheap Tip Up Alarm

I was at Menards last night and these alarms caught my eye. They are $4 for a 4 pak. They will work good if you fish out of a portable and are sick of always trying to keep an eye out for your tip up. Or you can use it inside your permanent instead of a rattle wheel. I have a friend that can't hear the rattle wheel in his sleep. I plan on securing the smaller piece with epoxy and just used tape for now. Haven't tried it in the cold yet but for $4 I will give it a try.

I've seen others do that for the last year or so. They work great from what I hear.

Neat. I just use a jingle bell, but your idea looks cooler.
