I go up to this lake quite often. I do well with tip ups on wally, but cannot even graph one, when giging in the same spots I tip up fish. whats going on?

Not sure what to tell you (I'm assuming you meant to type "jigging" not "giging", right?) I'll usually set out at least one tip up and jig in another hole. Some days the only bites I get are jigging, some days I only get them on tip ups. Depends on what mood they're in.

And if you're not picking them up on the flasher, I'm guessing they're kind of charging in and biting. I caught a northern a couple of days ago jigging for crappies and he never showed up on the screen. Just "wham" and the drag started peeling out.

You better plan on fishing a little farther south Jarrid, there's still 2 feet of ice on most lakes around here.
