Daughter and Son-in-law bought me a Gentz Line Spooler rod and reel combo in 23"light action. Question is what kind of line to put on it for mostly panfish use. I have some 4lb. Fireline crystal ice and some Bionic 4 lb fluorosilk. Could I get by with using the Fireline Crystal as the main line and then uni knot the bionic line as a leader or should I just go out and buy some 3lb. line and go with that instead? Eyes are getting older and some of the real light line is getting difficult to work with, although I know it can be a real make it or break it item when dealing with finicky fish. Any ideas?
