HUNTER2
Why is it illegal to use a electric motor on public water? There is no noise or water pollution!------------------Hunt&Fish tell you drop!
Benny
Hunter2, it is not illegal to use an electric motor on "public waters" but it is illegal to use any motor on a "management area water, or refuge waters"You can use any motor you like on a public lake or water way provided there isn't any local ordanance to prohibit them.Best bet would be to call the local C.O and ask them, although at this time it may be hard to get in touch with them.Benny
Fisher Dave
There are a couple WMA's that do allow small trolling motors (30lb or less). Check the regulation booklet .. its in there somewhere. If you do use an electric just remember they classify it the same as a gas motor .. cant have a gun uncased when its going. Other than that they are priceless when trying to pick up decoys, and work great for canoes or tiny boats.

DUCKBOAT21
i THINK IT IS MORE A MATTER OF ALLOWING THE BIRDS A PLACE TO REST WITHOUT BEING HARRASSED, AND POSSIBLY DRIVEN AWAY.
