A nice long walk unspoiled by any excitement today......

didn't put a whole lot of effort into it because of the dense green foliage / underbrush. didn't see any grouse, but managed to shoot 1 fox squirrel. will likely get out again after duck season is past, possibly once during the season.

Went out this morning near blackduck and saw five. Managed to shoot two of them. It is still really thick. We saw all of them in one area. At least we saw some, havent really had real good luck in the last two years.

The two of us took home 11 on a three day hunt. We were in our regular area in the arrowhead region. We always do good there. Only one sprucer though. Numbers are way down. We normally do much better. Can't complain! I'm lucky to have this hotspot! NS
