I'd like to point out to Hotime that he will not hear the ice cracking if you are on some bad stuff.

There will just be one loud snap before you're in the water.

Ice DOES NOT WAITE FOR YOU TO BACK AWAY IF IT CRACKS UNDER YOUR WEIGHT!!!!!!!!!! It just DROPS away. (personal exp.been through twice)

Use a spud to check the ice!!!!!!!!! even if it upsets a CRY BABY!!! your life is more valuable than the opinion of a fisherman with a poor outlook on human life....

NO FISH NO FISH NO FISH is more valuable than human life!!!
